Payroll is activated separately because it carries its own filing and per-employee costs. You do not pay for it on Operator unless you use it.
Pricing questions
Yes. You pay VisiBooks for the accounting system, controls, storage, connections, and audit history. You keep your existing relationship with your model or agent provider, so there is no hidden AI margin inside your accounting bill.
No. VisiBooks does not sell tokens or agent credits. Your agent provider may charge for its own compute, but VisiBooks does not add a fee each time that agent reads or operates the books.
The price is for the live accounting control plane: bank data, a real double-entry ledger, deterministic automation, reconciliation, close controls, evidence, and a reversible audit trail. The value is trustworthy books—not marked-up inference.
When a decision repeats reliably, your agent can move that pattern into a VisiBooks rule or merchant mapping. Future matching work runs in the accounting system without asking a model to reason about the same transaction again.
Yes. Agent-first does not mean agent-only. You can inspect, categorize, reconcile, correct, report, or operate directly whenever you need to.
Payroll is optional. On Operator it is $35 per month plus $6 per employee. Portfolio includes payroll for one entity and its first five employees; additional employees are $6 per month each.
